Jackie Chan: The man, the legend... the movie whore. Thank God Bruce Lee isn't around today to see kung fu cinema get pissed on like this. Jackie Chan, how do you sleep at night? And why are you smiling? By the way, try to read the taglines on the last two posters without getting engulfed by the urge to throw somebody out of a window.

ReplyDeleteWhile I fundamentally disagree with your assessment of the upcoming Karate Kid movie, (I am still definitely seeing this, and I am going to enjoy it thoroughly) I completely agree that Mr. Chan is one of the biggest sell-outs in movie history. "The Tuxedo" and The Medallion were two of the worst films I have ever seen. I miss the days of old Jackie, the likes of "Rumble in the Bronx," when he was still the man.

ReplyDeleteRespectfully agreeing to disagree, I smell a timeless movie franchise that's about to get absolutely defecated upon (see Star Wars Episodes I, II, and III). Also the new Toy Story 3 trailer kinda gave me bad vibes... like Shrek 3 only even less funny.
