As most of you know, on Thursday April 15th, K'naan will be performing with Wale, John Forte and Tabi Bonney at the Hall of Presidents. Doors open at 8PM! This performance at Colgate will mark the last one of their joint 2010 US Tour.
K'naan talks about the tour:
At 4PM on that same day, K'naan will be giving a lecture to faculty and students at Love Auditorium. We are still awaiting details on the title of that lecture.
Jake and I have been plugging Strong Arm Steady on our radio show for an endless succession of months now, and if you're STILL not convinced these guys are the real deal, take a look/listen at this music video off their classic, seriously slept on album In Search of Stoney Jackson...
For those of you out there into that raw hip hop, be sure to mark the days off your calendar for May 18th, the release date for the much anticipated OJ Simpson collaboration album with Detroit MC Guilty Simpson and super producer Madlib. From what I've heard so far this album will be chock full of bangers. It just became available this week as an advanced digital release on the stones throw website, and if you're a true hip hop head you can opt to cop it ***HERE*** if you just can't wait for it any longer (I'm going to let my antipation build and wait to cop it on vinyl in May, but that's just me).
Anyway, here's a video clip of him performing the album's title track live with the Will Sessions Big Band. Raw stuff. Haters are throwing rocks at tanks.
